Description

Loctite 55 Pipe Sealing Cord 160m Pipe threads leak when the sealant takes time to cure, or gets disturbed, and hemp and paste are slow and messy. Loctite 55 is a non-curing, coated multifilament cord that seals the thread as soon as the joint is tightened, giving an immediate full-pressure seal, and it can be adjusted after tightening. It’s for sealing metal and plastic tapered pipe threads and fittings. Henkel states it’s tested in accordance with EN 751-2 Class ARp, carries DVGW/KTW-BWGL approval for gas and potable water, is certified to NSF/ANSI 61, and is WRAS listed (approval number 1807518) and meets BS 6920 for potable water. It’s also certified to KIWA GASTEC QA AR 214 for hydrogen gas systems (Henkel notes certifications are available in select countries). The service temperature range is -55°C to +130°C.
