It is spelled "Satà¨n" but read Franciacorta DOCG. This type of sparkling wine, reserved exclusively for Franciacorta DOCG, is always based on a wine produced exclusively from white grapes, Chardonnay, as in this case, or Pinot Bianco. Its main characteristic, however, is the moderate pressure in the bottle, which gives it a particular softness reminiscent of (precisely) silk. Essence Satà¨n is Antica Fratta's interpretation of this Franciacorta style, where citrus notes blend elegantly with hints of exotic fruits. Delicate effervescence, it is a non-vintage product, not vintage, which is matured in the bottle, as per Franciacorta DOCG regulations, for a minimum of 24 months. Straw yellow with golden hues, it has a particularly fine perlage and a soft, creamy froth. The nose is intense and harmonious. In the mouth, it is enveloping, elegant and persistent. It requires a delicate pairing. It is ideal as an aperitif but also accompanies delicate fish or shellfish dishes with real satisfaction.
