Of the autochthonous vines, i.e. the typical vines, of central Italy, one in particular has reached truly remarkable levels of popularity in recent years. It is the Passerina that finds it perfect home in the Abruzzo region, and in particular in the areas that fall within the so-called Terre di Chieti. Just the right mix of sun, heat, proximity to the sea and soils. All the pieces of the puzzle that make up the ideal "terroir" for this vine all come together in these parts. Ideal in combination with fish dishes and as an aperitif, it is the bottle to uncork if you plan to make extensive use of raw fish.
