A lithium and iron disulphide (Li/FeS2) battery chemistry assures reliable production of a nominal 1.5 Volts over an extensive range of temperatures. The recommended storage and operating limits are between minus 40° Celsius and a torrid 60°C. Each cylindrical AA cell measures 51 millimetres in height by 15 millimetres in diameter, with a weight of approximately 15 grammes. Energizer AA batteries are direct replacements for sizes 4006, AM3, E91, FR6, KAA, MIGNON, MN1500, ND62S, R6 and UM3. Product shelf life is as long as twenty years when stored at room temperature.
