Duracell CR2 cells perform well in high drain applications such as digital cameras, flash photography units and small electronic security devices, even in icy (down to -20°C) or sweltering conditions (maximum: 75° Celsius). Additionally, pharmacists recommend this dependable brand of battery for use in medical, first response and hospital equipment. Duracell High Power Lithium CR2 Ultra batteries are also mercury-free, for a safer environment. Product shelf life is up to ten years. In use, the nominal potential is 3.2 to 3.3 Volts with peak current bursts as high as 1.8 Amps, depending on the application. Each compact cylindrical cell weighs 11 grammes, a third less than alkaline equivalents. Approximate battery diameter is 15.6 millimetres, with a height of 27.0 millimetres.
