Powder coating is the ideal method when it comes to making surfaces resistant to environmental influences and visually upgrading them. Simply connect the 15 L container with powder coating and the powder coating gun to the device and clamp the grounding cable to the workpiece. The powder particles are pressed through the electrically charged nozzle by the compressed air and thus electrostatically charged. This causes the powder to adhere to the equally charged object, which is sprayed with an adjustable operating pressure of up to 10 bar. This process enables you to powder coat various materials, which makes the treated objects significantly more robust than traditional paint. Before the coating process, the surface must first be thoroughly cleaned of grease. The object you want to coat should be made of conductive metal. You can choose a voltage from 0 to 100 kV for the coating. You can set additional values for the pressure or the powder quantity on the device using a control panel. Once the powder coat is finished, the coated product must be cured at a temperature of 200 °C. The high temperature melts the smallest powder particles, making the coating permanent and giving it an even thickness. Additionally, because no solvent is used, in contrast to liquid paint, powder coating is very environmentally friendly and does not leave behind drops of paint. The powders, available in nearly every colour, make objects extremely resistant to weathering, corrosion and even many chemicals.
